Job summary

Downer is seeking a Meter Reader for an active, outdoor role. You will visit homes and businesses to collect gas, water and electricity readings, recording data on a mobile device and aiming to hit daily targets.

Ideal candidates are reliable, self-motivated and comfortable working outdoors with safety in mind. Full training is provided and a supportive team environment offers growth across utilities contracts.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Ability to walk long distances and work outdoors in all weather.
• Strong time management and reliability are essential.
• Good customer service skills and friendly communication.
• Commitment to safety and doing the job right the first time.

Responsibilities

• Visit homes and businesses to collect meter readings (Gas/Water, Electricity).
• Record data using a mobile device and meet daily targets.
• Work independently with full training provided.
