Job summary

Family Services Guide is seeking casual Meter Readers to join our Melbourne team. You will travel to assigned routes in Melbourne's south east suburbs, read meters, and record consumption on an electronic handheld device while walking between properties.

The role is suitable for fit, reliable individuals with a valid Australian Driver's Licence, access to a vehicle and a mobile phone. You will work Mon-Fri, 25-35 hours per week, with daily travel times up to 45 minutes each way.

Qualifications

• Good fitness level and ability to walk long distances for extended hours.
• Motivated and reliable with great attitude and attention to detail.
• Able to work Mon-Fri, 25–35 hours per week; holds a valid Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
• Flexible and comfortable with daily travel of up to, or more than 45 minutes each way.

Responsibilities

• Drive to allocated route and autonomously walk from property to property, reading meters.
• Record consumption numbers in an electronic handheld device.
