Job summary

A not-for-profit disability support provider is seeking an experienced Accounts & Payroll Officer for a casual work-from-home position. This role involves managing payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable, and ensuring compliance with payroll legislation. Social Connections, Inclusive Living Ltd is currently seeking an experienced Accounts & Payroll Officer for a casual work from home position.

SCILL is a not-for-profit disability support provider based on the Sunshine Coast and provides support services to NDIS and NIISQ funded participants from Gympie to Brisbane.

About the Role

In this diverse role, you'll take ownership of day‑to‑day accounts and payroll functions, playing a vital role in supporting the financial operations of the business. You'll work in a small team (all home based).

Key Responsibilities
  • End‑to‑end payroll processing (fortnightly)
  • Ensure accurate personnel and payroll details are maintained.
  • Accounts payable and receivable duties.
  • Bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking.
  • Debtor collection of overdue accounts.
  • Profit and loss.
  • Processing payments via ABA file and bank transfer.
  • Process invoices via the relevant portals, plan managers, self‑managed participants.
  • Managing superannuation, PAYG, Q‑Leave, salary packaging and other payroll liabilities.
  • Respond to payroll queries.
  • General administrative and accounting support.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar accounts / payroll role.
  • Experience with Xero is essential.
  • Experience with Flowlogic (desirable).
  • Prior experience in dealing with the NDIS & NIISQ (desirable).
  • Solid understanding of payroll legislation, awards, and compliance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and a team player attitude.
