Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking an Accounts Payable Team Leader to guide and develop a high-performing AP team across multiple business units. You will ensure timely processing of invoices and payments while maintaining strong controls and stakeholder service.

The ideal candidate has proven AP leadership experience in a large organisation, strong understanding of financial controls, and hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading Accounts Payable teams in medium to large organisations.
• Experience managing high-volume invoice processing environments.
• Strong understanding of financial controls, compliance and AP best practices.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP or similar enterprise platforms.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of Accounts Payable professionals.
• Oversee AP function across multiple business units.
• Ensure timely processing of supplier invoices and payments.
• Monitor performance and workflow to meet service levels.
• Resolve escalated supplier and stakeholder queries.
• Oversee supplier account reconciliations and month-end activities.
• Ensure compliance with policies, controls and audit requirements.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
