Unitywater is seeking an Accounts Payable Officer on a 9-month max-term contract to support our finance function on the Sunshine Coast. You will process invoices, ensure timely supplier payments and contribute to a large, complex organisation’s financial operations.

You’ll work with a collaborative team, handling AP processes, reconciliations and admin tasks while pursuing continuous improvement of systems and ways of working in a hybrid work setting.

Qualificações

• Experience working in a high-volume Accounts Payable environment and end-to-end AP processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in invoices, reconciliations and financial transactions.
• Excellent organisational and time management with competing priorities.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement to respond to queries.
• Experience using ERP/financial systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify discrepancies.

About the role:

Looking for an opportunity to build your finance career while making a genuine impact? As our Accounts Payable Officer, you'll play an important role in ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time, while supporting the smooth operation of Unitywater's finance function.

Working as part of a collaborative and customer-focused team, you'll manage invoice processing, supplier payments, reconciliations and financial administration activities while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and service delivery.

This is a fantastic 9-month max-term contract opportunity to gain exposure to a large and complex organisation, expand your ERP and finance systems experience, and build valuable relationships across the business that can open doors for future career opportunities.

In this role, you'll:

• Deliver high-quality accounts payable services, ensuring invoices, payments and employee reimbursements are processed accurately and efficiently.

About you:

Must have

• Experience working in a high-volume Accounts Payable environment, with a strong understanding of end-to-end accounts payable processes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with experience processing invoices, reconciliations and financial transactions.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build positive relationships and respond effectively to supplier and internal stakeholder queries.
• Experience using ERP or financial systems, together with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues efficiently.

Nice to have

• Experience using TechnologyOne or a similar ERP system.
• Experience working within a large or complex corporate environment.
• Experience processing corporate purchasing card transactions or employee reimbursements.
• Experience reconciling supplier statements and general ledger accounts.
• Exposure to process improvement initiatives within finance or accounts payable functions.
• Relevant qualifications in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related discipline
