A leading renewable energy specialist in Queensland is seeking an Accounting & Finance Operations Coordinator to manage daily finance operations and ensure compliance. The role includes maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and preparing financial reports. We’re seeking an Accounting & Finance Operations Coordinator to help strengthen our financial systems and support the company’s continued growth. This position offers an opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing daily finance operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and insightful reporting for management.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate and compliant financial records across Huglo Solar’s operations, working closely with management to provide visibility over cashflow, profitability, and compliance.
Key responsibilities include:
Recording and reconciling all financial transactions in Odoo Accounting.
Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including issuing invoices and following up overdue accounts.
Assist in setting up and managing Accounts Payable to our Suppliers helping manage of cashlflows
Preparing weekly bank reconciliations, cashflow reports, and monthly management summaries.
Assisting with payroll preparation, ensuring compliance with the Electrical Award 2020.
Coordinating BAS, IAS, and PAYG lodgements and supporting end‑of‑year financial reporting.
Tracking profitability and providing variance analysis against budgets.
Maintaining digital document management and ensuring all records are traceable and secure.
This role requires a proactive individual with a strong eye for detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with management and external accountants.
Proven experience in bookkeeping or financial operations.
Strong understanding of Australian GST, PAYG, and superannuation.
Familiarity with Odoo accounting software a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general data analysis.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and time management skills.
