A leading chartered accounting firm in Melbourne is seeking an Accountant to deliver exceptional services to business owners. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, tax compliance, and developing tax planning strategies. As an Accountant at Fordham you will:
Work as part of a team delivering exceptional accounting services to clients, who are primarily business owners and business managers.
Prepare financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies, and self-managed super funds.
Work on tax compliance, including Division 7A, FBT, CGT, payroll and other indirect tax calculations.
Prepare and implement tax planning strategies and initiatives.
Research tax, business structuring, wealth, and asset protection issues.
Work collaboratively within teams and across teams to promote best practice.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or commerce
Have commenced or completed CA/CPA studies
Experience working in Australian public practice
Experience working with privately owned groups with multiple entity types, and individuals
Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and time management skills
