Job summary

Findex Colac is seeking an Accountant to join our Accounting & Business Advisory team in Colac, Victoria. You’ll work on varied client work and be supported by experienced colleagues.

We’ll shape the role around where you are in your career, from recent graduate to seasoned professional. You’ll prepare tax returns, financial statements and reconciliations, assist with bookkeeping and compliance, and liaise with the ATO.

Qualifications

• A degree in accounting or commerce, or you’re close to completing one.
• You’ve started, or want to start, your CA or CPA.
• Strong attention to detail and good numeric and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns, financial statements and reconciliations for clients and small businesses.
• Support clients with general bookkeeping and compliance work.
• Liaise with the ATO and other government bodies on client matters.
• Deliver quality work to technical standards, deadlines and budget.
• If you’re more experienced: review the work of others and coach less experienced team members.
