Moore Australia in Coffs Harbour is seeking an Accountant to join our boutique team. You will work across accounting, compliance and advisory services for a varied client base, enjoying a supportive, value-driven culture.

Qualifications

• 1+ years' experience in professional services accounting.
• CA/CPA qualification desirable.
• Experience with Xero, MYOB and Reckon.
• Strong communication and client-focused attitude.
• Deadline-driven with attention to detail.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Great at building rapport with clients and team.

Responsibilities

• Complete client work across accounting, compliance, and advisory services.
• Prepare accounts, tax returns for a wide variety of clients (income tax, BAS, etc.).
• Monitor client management reports for underlying business improvement issues.
• Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, companies, trusts and partnerships; financial statements.
• Maintain and produce financial reports using Xero, MYOB and Reckon.
• Provide taxation services including researching and concluding tax issues, verifying financial results and analysing income and expenditure.

About The Role

As an Accountant based in our Coffs Harbour office you will complete client work across a range of accounting, compliance, and advisory services. You will be entrusted to provide the best possible service to our diverse range of clients.

• Complete client work across a range of accounting, compliance, and advisory services
• Prepare accounts, annual income tax returns, BAS' and more for a wide variety of clients
• Monitor client management reports for underlying business improvement issues
• Provide taxation services including researching and concluding tax issues, verifying financial results and analyse income and expenditure, prepare & check tax returns, and gather and manage FBT systems (information gathering, completion and calculation procedures)
• Prepare and review individual, company, trust and partnership tax returns, and financial statements
• Maintain and produce financial reports using Xero, MYOB and Reckon

About You

• 1+ years' experience in professional services (accounting) in a public practice firm
• Hold or be working towards a CA/CPA qualification (desirable)
• Experience with Xero, MYOB and Reckon
• Strong communication skills
• A Can-Do, client focused attitude
• Deadline driven with sharp attention to detail
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Great at building rapport and trust with team members and clients
