Ready Accounting in Mackay is seeking an Accountant with at least 2 years of Australian public practice experience to join our local Mackay team. Not a Senior Accountant yet? If you are technically sound, enjoy working with clients and want to progress based on ability, we want to hear from you.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of public accounting experience.
• Strong tax and financial reporting knowledge.
• Enjoys client-facing work and communicating with clients.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Xero accounting software.
• HandiTax experience is advantageous.
• Karbon workflow experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporates, partnerships and trusts.
• Prepare and review financial statements in line with accounting standards.
• Communicate directly with clients and manage relationships.
• Manage your allocated work and deadlines.
• Collaborate with junior accountants and provide guidance.
• Review supporting work and ensure accuracy and compliance.

• Prepare and review complex individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
• Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards
• Communicate directly with clients and build strong relationshipsManage your allocated work and deadlines
• Work alongside junior accountants who support your workload
• Review supporting work and provide guidance where required
