Job summary

Findex in Inverell is seeking an Accountant or Senior Accountant to join the Business Advisory team on a permanent basis. You will support Managers and Partners by preparing compliance, tax and accounting work for a diverse client base including companies, partnerships, trusts and individuals.

Qualifications

• Accounting degree or equivalent
• Pursuing CA/CPA or equivalent
• Solid experience in accounting roles, preferably public practice

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns, financial statements, reconciliations and business advice for diverse clients
• Maintain high technical standards, meet deadlines and budget expectations
• Assist with general bookkeeping duties
• Liaise with ATO and government bodies on client matters
• Maintain accurate work papers and client files per Findex standards
• Keep knowledge current to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements

The Opportunity

We're looking for an Accountant or Senior Accountant to join our Business Advisory team in Inverell on a permanent basis. In this role you'll support our Managers and Partners by preparing compliance, tax and accounting work for a diverse range of clients across companies, partnerships, trusts and individual businesses. It's a genuine opportunity to build your technical skills in a close-knit regional team, backed by the resources and career pathways of a national firm.

Your role, your contribution!

• Prepare tax returns, financial statements, reconciliations and business advice for companies, partnerships, trusts and individual clients

• Complete work to a high technical standard, meeting deadlines and budget expectations on every job

• Assist with general bookkeeping duties as required

• Liaise directly with the ATO and other government bodies on client matters

• Maintain accurate, compliant work papers and client files in line with Findex Group standards

• Keep your technical knowledge current to ensure ongoing compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements

• A relevant degree qualification

• Commenced or working towards CA, CPA or equivalent

• Solid experience in an accounting role, ideally within public practice
