TechnologyOne, Australia’s leading enterprise software company, is seeking an experienced Account Manager to lead a portfolio of Local Government accounts across Victoria. Based in Melbourne, you will own the end-to-end account lifecycle and drive revenue growth by delivering value from ERP solutions.

You will build relationships with senior stakeholders, identify expansion opportunities, and coordinate with Presales, Bid Management and Operations to craft compelling, high-impact solutions.

Qualifications

• Proven B2B ERP software sales experience.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Account Manager with a proven track record of selling ERP software to join our team and manage our Local Government customers across Victoria.

In this role, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of strategic Local Government accounts, building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders while driving customer retention, growth and long-term commercial value.

You'll work closely with senior stakeholders across councils to understand their evolving priorities, challenges and strategic objectives. By developing a deep understanding of your customers and their operating environments, you'll identify opportunities to expand our partnerships and ensure they continue to see value from TechnologyOne's solutions and services.

As a trusted advisor, you'll manage the full account lifecycle - from identifying and developing opportunities through to negotiation and close - while working collaboratively with internal teams to deliver strong customer outcomes.

This is a highly relationship-focused role with a strong commercial focus. You'll be responsible for achieving revenue and growth targets while strengthening TechnologyOne's position as a strategic technology partner to Victorian Local Government.

What you'll be doing…

• Manage and grow a portfolio of Local Government customer accounts, driving customer satisfaction, retention and sustainable revenue growth.
• Partner with the TechOne Direct and Sales Leadership teams to identify, qualify and pursue new business and expansion opportunities.
• Develop and execute strategic account and sales plans to achieve revenue targets across existing and new opportunities.
• Understand customer needs and market potential, leveraging strong relationships to identify upsell, cross-sell and expansion opportunities.
• Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including senior and C-level decision-makers, to strengthen customer partnerships and identify future opportunities.
• Work closely with Presales, Bid Management and other internal teams to develop compelling, value-driven solutions and deliver strong customer outcomes.
• Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing and volume discounts, in line with company policies and in partnership with Sales Leadership and Operations.
• Maintain a strong sales pipeline, provide accurate forecasting and proactively manage opportunities through to close.
• Act as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring they continue to realise value from TechnologyOne's ERP solutions and services.
• Proven B2B software sales experience, ideally with a strong background in ERP sales and account management.
• Experience managing software accounts within the Local Government sector, with a strong understanding of customer operating models, procurement processes, funding structures and sector-specific challenges.
• Demonstrated success across the full sales cycle, including lead generation, opportunity management, bid management, deal creation, negotiation, closing and ongoing client relationship management.
• Proven track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify customer needs and translate them into compelling software solutions and business outcomes.
• Experience working effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment, collaborating with internal stakeholders across Sales, Presales, Bid Management and Operations.
• Strong communication, influencing and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to engage with senior and C-level stakeholders.
