About the role

Our client — a global insurance broking, risk management and consulting firm — is seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Broker to support their branch by managing and growing a strong commercial client portfolio. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high‑performing team and deliver expert insurance and risk advice, with flexible / hybrid arrangements available.

Key responsibilities
  • Partner with senior brokers to deliver exceptional client outcomes
  • Manage and grow a diversified commercial portfolio to achieve profitable growth, strong retention and new business
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, underwriting partners and broader networks to support organic and pipeline growth
  • Assess insurable risk, design appropriate insurance solutions and negotiate optimal outcomes
  • Drive sales performance while managing operational tasks including budgeting, quoting and debtor control
  • Build and maintain a long‑term pipeline to support new business growth
  • Use core broking systems accurately and efficiently and support continuous improvement initiatives
About you (required)
  • Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualification (essential)
  • Sound knowledge of general insurance principles and practices
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with a focus on delivering excellent client experiences
  • Clear and effective communication skills
  • Proven problem‑solving ability and results orientation
  • Highly adaptable and responsive to change
  • Prior experience in a similar commercial broking role desirable
