Job summary

Access Consultant role in Sydney, NSW, with a salary range of AUD 120K–170K. Hybrid work model with office days and site visits; strong CPD support and leadership exposure.

You will help build a dedicated Access Consultancy division, shaping templates, frameworks and processes while leveraging an established client base across multiple sectors. Ideal candidate has ACAA accreditation, extensive NCC/AS 1428 knowledge, and experience delivering access reports and performance-based solutions.

Qualifications

• Current accreditation with ACAA.
• Demonstrated experience as an Access Consultant within the built environment sector.
• Strong knowledge of the NCC, Australian Standards (including AS 1428 series) and accessibility legislation.
• Experience preparing access reports, technical advice and performance-based solutions.
• Proficient with practical templates, frameworks and quality systems.
• Comfortable mentoring and upskilling colleagues in access methodology and reporting.
• Detail oriented and able to maintain accuracy across documentation.
• Stable career history and a proactive learning mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build a service offering from scratch for an Access Consultancy division.
• Shape templates, frameworks and processes the business will run on.
• Leverage strong client base and pipeline of RFTs and repeat work.
• Provide access reports, technical advice and performance-based solutions.
• Mentor and upskill colleagues in access methodology and reporting.

Access Consultant: Sydney NSW $120K - $170K (all experience levels considered)

Join a highly reputable, well-established certification and BCA consultancy as they launch a dedicated Access Consultancy division

Genuine ground-floor opportunity to build a service offering from scratch; shape the templates, frameworks and processes that the business will run on

Strong existing client base already asking for accessibility advice; steady pipeline of RFTs and repeat work from day one

Broad and varied project exposure across education, health, commercial, residential and public sector work, including major CBD refurbishments and large-scale campus developments

Clear pathway into senior consulting and leadership, with genuine influence over the direction of the practice

Hybrid working arrangements: approx 3 days per week in the office, balanced with site visits and WFH flexibility

Hands-on access to Senior Leaders and Directors

You must be/have

• Current accreditation with the Association of Consultants in Access Australia (ACAA)
• Demonstrated experience as an Access Consultant within the built environment sector
