The Department for Correctional Services in South Australia seeks a dedicated case manager to oversee adult offenders on community-based supervision orders and to support Courts, the Sentence Management Unit and the Parole Board.

This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position at Elizabeth Community Correctional Centre; you will work with programs for offenders and families, contribute to best-practice planning, and may travel interstate or intrastate as required.

About the Department for Correctional Services

The Department employs approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nine prisons and fifteen Community Correctional offices across the state. Special Conditions

• The Department for Correctional Services (DCS) considers that being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Isalnder is a genuine occupnational requirement for this position under sub-s56(2) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (SA). Therefore, this position is only open to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander applicants.
• Section 47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction with other provisions of the act and other applicable industrial entitlements.
• The incumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a National Criminal History Check.
• A current South Australian Driver's Licence is
• A flexible approach to working hours is required.
• Some interstate and intrastate travel may be required which may necessitate overnight absences.
