Centrecare is seeking an Aboriginal Mental Health Worker (Section 50(d)) to support CAFS clients in the community or at Banksia Hill Detention Centre, providing social, emotional and mental health support to young people and their families.

You will be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person with relevant mental health qualifications and at least two years' experience, working in a multidisciplinary team and maintaining case notes and reports in line with policies.

Qualifications

• Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person is required under Section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984.
• Certificate IV, Diploma, or Bachelor in Mental Health qualifications are required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar position.

Responsabilités

• Provide social, emotional and/or mental health care to children, young people and their families who are clients of CAFS.
• Provide cultural liaison and family engagement where relevant and provide cultural interpretations to the broader CAFS teams.
• Work within a multidisciplinary environment to contribute to and enhance the provision of mental health assessments and relevant interventions.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case notes, documentation, and reports in compliance with organisational policies and requirements.
