Job summary

Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD), Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Health Service, is seeking an Aboriginal Registered Nurse to deliver high quality, culturally appropriate nursing care across the care continuum. You will work under supervision to support Aboriginal communities with chronic disease management and transition from hospital to community.

Qualifications

• Must identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander under NSW law.
• Current AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with Aboriginal individuals, families and communities.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality, safe nursing care within a holistic, culturally appropriate framework.
• Work under supervision of Executive Director, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health and CNC.
• Promote culturally safe nursing practice and coordinate with Aboriginal community services.
