Qualifications

• Commitment to VACCA’s vision and purpose.
• Understanding Aboriginal cultures and issues affecting Aboriginal people in Australia.
• Ability to work in a culturally respectful and competent manner with Aboriginal communities.
• Experience in child development and family functioning including risk assessment frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide intensive wrap-around outreach family support to children/young people and their families using strengths-based, evidence-informed interventions.
• Conduct outreach and home visits and contribute to risk assessments.
• Facilitate referrals to VACCA programs or external agencies as required.
