Job summary

WA Country Health Service is seeking a dedicated professional to assist in developing, implementing and evaluating strategies for the prevention and treatment of alcohol and drug-related problems among Aboriginal people and communities. The role is a fixed-term full-time appointment until 02/04/2027, with potential extensions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, including the development and delivery of culturally secure health education, prevention, and community development initiatives.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) services, including counselling, harm minimisation approaches, and awareness of relevant community health and support services.
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, work collaboratively within a team, and operate effectively with a high degree of autonomy.
• Current C Class Driver's Licence (or eligibility to obtain one) and the ability to travel as required to engage with communities and stakeholders.
