Job summary

Checkhero is seeking a residential electrical inspector in Melbourne to carry out safety inspections, identify hazards, and recommend corrective actions. You will complete accurate reports and communicate findings clearly to homeowners, tenants and agents.

This frontline role requires an A Grade Electrical Licence, a valid driver’s licence, a reliable vehicle and the ability to work autonomously while delivering professional customer service and compliance with AS/NZS standards.

Qualifications

• Current A Grade Electrical Licence.
• Full/current driver’s licence.
• Reliable vehicle.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Strong understanding of AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3019 wiring rules.
• Previous compliance or residential inspection experience is desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct residential electrical safety inspections across Melbourne
• Identify electrical hazards, faults and compliance issues
• Carry out minor electrical repairs and rectification works
• Provide clear recommendations to homeowners, tenants and property agents
• Complete accurate inspection reports and safety documentation
• Ensure all work complies with relevant Australian Standards and safety requirements
• Deliver professional customer service on every visit
• Manage daily jobs independently and maintain organised, timely completion
• Represent the business professionally when dealing with customers and clients
