Job summary

Lighton Electrics in Melbourne is seeking a quality A-Grade Electrician to join our growing team. We are a family-operated Victorian electrical contractor with 45+ years of experience across reactive maintenance, compliance, solar, EV charging and beyond.

We offer a $5000 bonus for 12 months of service, paid day off on your Birthday, and a strong, supportive environment with opportunities to work across EV, solar, BESS and broader infrastructure projects.

Qualifications

• Current A-Grade Electrical Licence.
• Experience as an A-Grade Electrician.
• Current driver’s licence.
• Fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
• Solid understanding of safe work practices and quality workmanship.
• Good communication and presentation on site.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Someone reliable and easy to deal with.

Responsibilities

• Reactive and preventative maintenance.
• Fault finding and breakdown response.
• Installation of Lighting and Power circuitry and control methods.
• Mains switchboards/pillars and infrastructure upgrades.
• Compliance-related works and reporting.
• Project work across commercial, civic and community assets.
• Exposure to EV, Solar and Battery systems.
• Commercial project fit outs.
• Digital job management and reporting.

What we're looking for

• Switchboards, compliance and testing

• Air conditioning (ARC licensed)

• Solar, battery, EV charging or structured cabling

• Experience working in live environments with minimal disruption to clients
