Talent International is recruiting a Payroll Officer to support weekly payroll processing for a Local Government in Penrith. The role is a 5-month contract with potential extension, paying 45.79 AUD per hour plus Super.

You will manage timesheets, leave, and payroll records, using Empower, and provide timely payroll support to employees while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

Qualifikationen

• Payroll experience in a large public sector organisation.
• Qualification in Payroll, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing payroll.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet regular payroll deadlines.
• Understanding of the Local Government State Award is advantageous.
• A current Class C driver's licence is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and check weekly payroll data, including timesheets, payroll variations and leave applications.
• Enter and maintain payroll information in Empower payroll system.
• Process leave applications, check balances and ensures policy compliance.
• Assist with end-of-month reports for deduction authorities.
• Respond to payroll enquiries from employees and external organisations.
• Prepare employment letters and payroll correspondence.
• Maintain payroll records in line with recordkeeping requirements.
• Collaborate with the payroll team to meet deadlines and deliver quality service.
