Job summary

Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) is seeking experienced Functional Automation Test Analysts to join the Testing Practice and support the myAMSA digital transformation program.

The role focuses on planning, designing, executing, automating, and maintaining testing across Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform, with emphasis on automated regression testing within Azure DevOps pipelines. You will work across Agile multidisciplinary teams to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in automated UI regression testing with modern tools.
• Experience with planning and executing functional, regression, and UAT testing.
• Ability to design test scenarios, cases, and scripts from business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, execute, automate, and maintain testing across Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
• Validate configurations, security roles, and workflows within platform solutions.

About the Role

The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) is seeking experienced Functional Automation Test Analysts to join its Testing Practice and support the delivery of the myAMSA digital transformation program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, executing, automating, and maintaining testing activities across Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform solutions, including Power Pages, Power Apps, Dataverse, and integrated enterprise services. The role requires a balance of manual and automated testing skills, with a strong focus on implementing automated regression testing within Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

Candidates must be able to quickly understand business processes, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute effectively within multidisciplinary Agile delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

Functional & System Testing

• Analyse business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.
• Develop comprehensive test scenarios, test cases, and test scripts.
• Execute functional, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Validate end-to-end business processes across multiple applications and environments.
• Identify, document, prioritise, and manage defects through resolution.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Power Platform Testing

• Perform testing of:

  • Dataverse solutions

  • Power Platform integrations

CI/CD Integration

• Support quality gates and release readiness assessments.

Test Management & Reporting

• Maintain test plans, test scripts, traceability matrices, and test evidence.
• Produce testing status reports and quality metrics.
• Support defect triage and root cause analysis.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of AMSA testing practices.
