Job summary

The Department of Health is seeking a Policy Officer to support the implementation of Victoria’s 10-year AOD Strategy and provide project management and administrative support to the strategy's governance structures.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in fields related to public policy, health or welfare is required.
• A strong understanding of Victorian government context and processes, and/or the health, mental health, or AOD sectors.

The Department of Health plays a critical role in the Victorian health system and is responsible for shaping it to meet the health needs of all Victorians. We’re focused on

The Policy Officer role will support the implementation of the 10-year Victorian alcohol and other drug (AOD) Strategy. The role has diverse responsibilities within this high-performing strategic reform team, including a development of government advice, process and project management support, and administrative activities related to strategy implementation including secretariat for advisory and governance groups.
