Job summary

Commlec Services is seeking a 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Electrician to grow a long-term career across Melbourne and regional Victoria. You will work with experienced A Grade Electricians on commercial, sports lighting and infrastructure projects.

You’ll gain hands-on experience across a range of electrical disciplines, while developing the skills for a successful career in the industry. A supportive team and clear progression pathways are offered.

Qualifications

• Currently completing a 2nd or 3rd year Electrical Apprenticeship.
• Hold a Victorian Driver Licence.
• White Card (Working at Heights and EWP licences advantageous).
• Committed to WHS procedures and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Electricians on commercial and infrastructure projects.
• Support sports lighting installations and maintenance.
• Perform tasks across electrical disciplines with training.
• Adhere to safety procedures and site rules.

Job description

Due to continued growth, Commlec Services is looking for a motivated 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice Electrician who wants to build a long-term career working on exciting commercial, sports lighting and infrastructure projects across Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Commlec Services is a solutions-based Electrical and Communications Contractor based in Mount Waverley. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality workmanship across commercial, council, recreation and infrastructure projects. Our team specialises in sports lighting installations, public lighting, reactive and programmed maintenance, and electrical upgrades.

About the Role

You'll work alongside experienced A Grade Electricians across our Projects and Service & Maintenance teams, gaining hands‑on experience in a wide variety of electrical disciplines while developing the skills needed for a successful long-term career.

Some of the jobs you could be working on:

• Sports lighting and pathway lighting installations and maintenance
• Commercial electrical installations
• Underground electrical infrastructure and cable hauling
• Switchboard replacements and upgrades
• Sustainability and LED lighting upgrades
• Reactive and preventative maintenance

About You

• Currently completing your 2nd or 3rd year Electrical Apprenticeship
• Current Victorian Driver Licence
• White Card (Working at Heights and EWP licences advantageous)
• Strong commitment to working safely and following WHS procedures
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Have or be willing to obtain AFP Check and Working with Children Check.
