Job summary

TeamKids is seeking a Second in Charge (2IC) for our Leichhardt OSHC service. You will lead in delivering high-quality care, engage with the school community, and create memorable experiences for children.

This part‑time role offers hands-on leadership, on the job coaching, and opportunities to advance as part of our supportive team. Applicants with ACECQA-aligned qualifications are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in Before/After School Care or education is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication with children, parents and team members.
• Ability to lead and support teammates in a fast-paced OSHC environment.

Responsibilities

• Engage with the school community, attending events and assemblies.
• Assist with creating and implementing enriching experiences based on children’s preferences.
• Foster genuine relationships with children and their families.
• Play with primary school aged children and ensure program compliance with industry regulations.

Job Description
This permanent, part - time opportunity offers hands on experience in the OSHC industry. You'll be supported every step of the way by a Director of Service, ensuring you have everything you need to thrive in your role.

Service Location: Leichhardt

You’ll work across split shifts, Monday to Friday:
BSC: 7:00am - 9:00am
ASC: 2.30pm - 5.30pm
Total hours: 25

The Successful Candidate:

✅ Ideally you have previous experience working in Before and After School Care or education, but this is by no means essential - we can train you!
✅ Thrives in a fast-paced environment and still a big kid at heart!
✅ Confident communicator with children, parents, team members, and school principals.
✅You're a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills and a can-do, positive attitude.
✅ Passionate about creating enriching experiences for primary-aged children.
✅ Energetic, enthusiastic, and love to have FUN!

✅As part of TeamKids’ commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to complete mandatory National Child Safety Training through Geccko prior to commencing employment with TeamKids
