Job summary

Bechtel has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Intern to join the 2026 Summer Intern Program on Ranger Project. Working with the Project HR Lead, this position will assist and gain experience in human resources management activities such as training and development, reporting, employee relations and people management.

This is a Summer Internship, running from November 2026, through until February 2027, and be provided full training.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Bachelor of Human Resources Management or similar at an accredited university.
• Willing to travel to the project site for a site visit.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office

• Learn Bechtel HR systems and procedures.
• Assist in preparing weekly/monthly reports and databases.
• Shadow and learn from experienced HR professionals.
• Assist with day-to-day tasks and projects.

Project Overview:

After more than 35 years’ operating as a successful uranium mine, the Ranger Project is entering its rehabilitation stage. Bechtel will be working alongside ERA and major stakeholder Rio Tinto to restore the land to the status of its surrounding World Heritage listed Kakadu National Park. A collaborative project, this project will be developed in consultation with the Mirarr Traditional Owners and will benefit the Jabiru community.Located 8 km east of Jabiru and 260 km south-east of Darwin, the Ranger Project will lead the way in the fast-growing area of mining closures.

• Participating in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills.
• Contributing innovative ideas and solutions to ongoing projects.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Currently studying a Bachelor of Human Resources Management, or similar at an accredited university.
• Open to travelling to our project site for a site visit.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
