Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage acute paediatric presentations and inpatient admissions.
• Contribute to neonatal assessment and care within your scope.
• Review paediatric patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
• Develop treatment plans in collaboration with senior clinicians.
• Communicate with families and carers throughout care.
• Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up with community providers.
• Participate in teaching, handovers and quality improvement.

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome doctors with recent, relevant paediatric experience who meet one of the following:

• Onshore doctors holding current AHPRA registration appropriate to the role.
• International doctors eligible for the Competent Authority Pathway.
• International paediatricians assessed by the RACP as substantially comparable, seeking a role aligned with their assessment requirements.

You will bring sound clinical judgement, clear communication and a compassionate approach to caring for children and families.

Appointment is subject to registration eligibility and the service’s ability to meet any individual supervision or college requirements.
