Peachy Keen Hair is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated 1st and 2nd year apprentices to join our dynamic team in Epping, NSW. This is an exciting full-time opportunity to build a rewarding career in the hair and beauty industry under the guidance of experienced professionals. As an apprentice, you will develop practical skills, industry knowledge, and professional expertise whilst earning a competitive wage and gaining a nationally recognised qualification. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about hair, beauty and providing exceptional customer service in a supportive salon environment.

What you'll be doing

Assisting senior stylists and hairdressers with client services and salon duties

Learning and practising fundamental hair care techniques including shampooing, conditioning, and basic cutting under supervision

Developing colour application skills and techniques through hands-on training and mentorship

Maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic salon environment in accordance with health and safety standards

Greeting clients, booking appointments and providing administrative support to the salon team

Building client relationships and developing communication skills to provide excellent customer service

Attending formal training sessions and completing coursework required for your apprenticeship qualification

Assisting with stock management, ordering and inventory control

Learning salon operations, business practices and professional standards within the hair and beauty industry

What we’re looking for

Currently enrolled in or ready to commence a recognised Hair and Beauty or Hairdressing apprenticeship programme

A genuine passion for the hair and beauty industry and a desire to develop a long-term career

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of salon cleanliness and hygiene

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanour

The ability to work effectively as part of a team and take direction from experienced professionals

Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude towards learning and personal development

Physical stamina to manage the demands of working on your feet for extended periods

A willingness to follow salon policies, health and safety procedures, and professional conduct standards

Preferred: Prior experience or interest in the beauty or service industry; customer service experience
