Locumco in Australia is seeking a clinical or experienced community pharmacist for a corrections centre assignment in the Alice Springs area. The role focuses on clinical checks of scripts, ordering, and liaison with nursing and medical staff, with weekly medication distribution to prisoner clients.

You will coordinate medication distribution, consult with health professionals, and provide counselling as needed.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years as a community pharmacist or equivalent experience.
• AHPRA registration/credentials.
• Experience in corrections health settings preferred.

Jobbeschreibung

Clinical or experienced 3 years+ community pharmacist needed who open to work in Corrections Centre. Location in Alice Springs area to start mid January 2027 for 6-12 months (3 months is minimum)

It is largely non dispensing role involving clinical checks of scripts and ordering, liaising with nursing and medical staff, speaking with prisoner clients and distributing client medications weekly going to the cell blocks to give prisoner clients their medications. co-ordinating medication distribution, liaising with health professionals and counselling clients when needed.

Dates & Times:

Monday 18th January to Friday 16th July 2027

Monday and Wednesday: 8:00 am – 3:50 pm

Tuesday: 8:00am-4.20pm

Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm

Friday: 8:00am – 1:30 pm

(Includes a 30-minute daily break, totalling 36.75 hours per week)( can't increase more hours per hour)

It is a Monday to Friday role with no work on weekends or public holidays.

Remuneration

Weekday $65-85/hr + Super depending on Hospital Experience

Travel Flights reimbursed to $1000 capped (Nonnegotiable) from any states

Accommodation provided in health service accommodation.

Car provided -can used outside work for shopping etc but cannot be taken for long drives out of town or on unsealed dirt roads.
