Job summary

LocumCo is seeking a Pharmacist for a 4-week assignment in a remote community just north of Cape York Peninsula in North Queensland. You will work with a team across dispensing, with a busy daily workload in a supportive pharmacy.

The role runs Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 9am-12:30pm with rotating weekends; remuneration is AUD 70/hour on weekdays and AUD 75/hour on Saturdays, plus super. Travel and fully furnished accommodation are provided.

Qualifications

• Licensed Australian pharmacist eligible to practice.
• Experience in high-volume dispensing an advantage.
• Locum/temporary assignments preferred; ability to work remotely in community pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Dispense medications accurately for a busy pharmacy.
• Collaborate with a team of pharmacists and dispensing technicians.
• Manage daily scripts and complex DAA business (approx. 900/day with Webster packs).
• Participate in opening/closing as required (per schedule).

Locum needed for 4 weeks in a busy pharmacy located just north of Cape York Peninsula. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a remote indigenous community, with a Pharmacy that was recently a finalist for Pharmacy Of The Year and won an award for Innovation Excellence. This is a busy dispensary and has great support staff. The experience you will gain here will be like no other!

Dates & Times

Monday 22nd February to Friday 26th March

* M-F 9am-5pm

* SAT 9am-12:30pm. (Rotating weekends with other Pharmacists)

Remuneration

Weekdays $70/hr, Saturday $75/hr + Super

Payment is made via ABN.

Travel & Accommodation

Travel (Anywhere) and Accommodation (fully furnished apartment, located behind the Pharmacy).

The pharmacy has expressed a preference for local candidates if available.

Pharmacy Environment

You will be working with 3 Pharmacists on M-F & a large Team of Dispense Technicians. (One Pharmacist on Saturday shifts).

Professional Services

Your responsibilities will include 150 scripts plus a complex DAA business which gets the daily script volume to approx 900 scripts per day for Webster packs. No OTP.

Vaccination certificate not mandatory; however, handy to have.

Additional Information

Opening and closing duties are not required.

A white Pharmacist coat is required.
