At Nuki Home Solutions GmbH, join our Web & Server Intern team in Austria to support reporting, dashboards, and release tooling. You will help move Grafana dashboards and Prometheus rules to Git, improve our Terraform IaC with checks, and assist in automating updates with Renovate.

You will work in a fast, agile environment while learning from a hands-on team. The role emphasizes experimentation, tool familiarity, and collaboration, with English as the working language and some German

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing a university degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
• Ideally some experience in software development.
• Familiarity with Docker for containerization and environment consistency.
• Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• Analytical mindset with troubleshooting skills.
• Passion for automation and experience with modern AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, ChatGPT).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate requirements into simple technical solutions.
• Enjoys working in a dynamic, agile environment and exploring new technologies.
• Fluent in English; German knowledge is a plus.

As a Web & Server Intern (f/m/d) at Nuki, you will use and expand your skills by supporting the team in developing and analyzing reports, creating monitoring dashboards, improving our release management tool, and updating our services. Your primary goal is to understand how the Web & Server team supports the wider organization while actively contributing your own expertise to this mission. This will give you the chance to shape the future of Nuki.

Your Role

• You support the team in moving Grafana dashboards and Prometheus rules into git with provisioning.
• You help improve our release management tool, bringing our team's releases to production quickly and confidently.
• You assist in cleaning up our IaC setup based on Terraform by introducing checkers and linters.
• You pull reports from Prometheus and work with your lead to identify over-provisioning across clusters.
• You aid in updating all services to the latest Spring Boot version.
• You assist in automation with Renovate to make future updates and vulnerability remediation easier.

Job Requirements

• You are currently pursuing a university degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
• Ideally, you bring first experience in software development.
• You have a passion for or familiarity with Docker for containerization and environment consistency.
• You preferably have a basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
• You bring an analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot.
• You have a deep passion for automation and already have experience with modern AI tools (such as Claude Code, ChatGPT, or Coding Agents).
• You possess problem-solving skills and the ability to translate requirements into simple, technical solutions.
• You enjoy working in a dynamic, agile environment and take pleasure in exploring new technologies on your own.
• You are fluent in English; knowledge of German is a plus.

The internship should last between 4 and 6 months and can be completed on a full-time or part‑time basis (minimum 20 hours/week). We offer a gross salary of € 1,800.00 per month based on a 38.5‑hour week.
