Jobbeschreibung

We are looking for a forward‑thinking and strategic Manager – Warehouse Automation & Intralogistics Engineering to lead, develop, and transform our automation and intralogistics operations. In this role, you will oversee the development and execution of a comprehensive automation strategy, ensuring alignment with Red Bull’s global business goals. You will build and lead a high‑performing team, manage key projects, foster cross‑functional collaboration, and implement innovative automation solutions to optimize warehouse operations, material flow, and inventory management.

This is an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact by driving the future of automation and intralogistics within a fast‑paced, globally recognized organization.

Engineering and Automation Strategy

You will develop and execute a strategic roadmap for automation initiatives that support beverage production, warehouse operations, intralogistics, material flow, and inventory management. This includes evaluating and implementing cutting‑edge solutions such as AS/RS, AGVs, and conveyance, picking and loading automation systems, and collaborating with cross‑functional teams to identify opportunities and prioritize projects. You will also create and maintain a knowledge base of norms, regulations, and permit requirements, while establishing planning guidelines and improving standards.

System Implementation, Integration and Tender Strategy

Together with your team, you ensure the installation, integration, and management of automation systems, guaranteeing seamless alignment with existing infrastructure. This includes managing project execution processes, delivering solutions on time and within budget, and refining test scripts and procedures to ensure quality and functionality. You will also build and maintain a network of trusted suppliers, develop customized tenders and contracts, and collaborate with internal teams such as Construction, Legal and Procurement.

Process Optimization and Technology Innovation

You will work with internal departments and external partners to identify areas for automation, designing and implementing solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and boost productivity. Staying informed about the latest automation technologies and sustainability trends, you will select tools and systems that align with Red Bull’s goals. This includes attending industry fairs to identify innovative solutions and ensuring the selected technologies are future‑proof.

Cross‑functional Collaboration

You will partner with internal stakeholders—including teams in Supply Chain, Production, Procurement, Quality Management, IT, and Local Operations—to ensure business requirements are translated into actionable automation solutions and integrated seamlessly into operations.

Risk Management and Compliance

You will assess risks associated with engineering and automation projects, implementing mitigation strategies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards, security protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Performance Metrics and Reporting

You will define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of automation projects, regularly reporting progress, outcomes, and Return on Investment (ROI) to Red Bull leadership.

  • Proven track record in project execution and cross‑functional leadership, guiding diverse engineering teams toward successful delivery.
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior Engineering or Automation Lead role, ideally within a high‑performance or manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical experts and non‑technical stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical mindset, capable of translating complex business needs into innovative, practical technical solutions.
  • Deep technical expertise in intralogistics processes, warehouse automation, production equipment interfaces, and integration with IT systems.
  • Solid understanding of industry standards, cutting‑edge technologies, and regulatory frameworks, ensuring compliance and future‑ready solutions.
  • Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD tools for project planning and design.
  • Fluent in English and conversational in German, enabling effective collaboration in an international environment.
