Offer Description
  • representing the violin subject in the development of the arts
  • teaching the core artistic subject Violin (concert performance)
  • supervising students
  • assisting in the fulfillment of the organizational, administrative and evaluation tasks facing the Violin Department

Salary: According to the collective bargaining agreement, the monthly gross pay is a minimum of € 6.604,30 (14 times/year). A possible higher salary, depending on qualification and previous experience, is subject to negotiation.

  • a relevant domestic or foreign university degree or equivalent artistic expertise suitable for the position to be filled
  • outstanding artistic qualifications in the field of solo performance or in the leading position in an orchestra
  • pedagogical and didactic experience in the field of education or further education for the subject to be filled
Specific Requirements
  • extensive international concert experience as a soloist or as a member in a leading position in an orchestra domestically and internationally
  • appropriate expertise in the Viennese style of music-making in order to ensure the continuation and development of this tradition at the mdw
  • highly qualified teaching and tutoring experience
  • leadership qualities in the organizational field
