The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer and forming part of the Senior Leadership Team, the State General Manager, Operations (South Australia) will be accountable for executing Edge’s strategic vision across a state‑based portfolio of early learning centres. Leading a team of Area Managers and working closely with the national Support Office teams, this role will:

  • Shape and deliver the state’s operational and strategic goals in line with Edge’s vision and growth plans
  • Coach, support and inspire Area Managers and Centre Leaders to deliver high quality outcomes, regulatory compliance and strong team culture
  • Inspire and develop high‑performing teams that deliver excellence in quality, compliance and culture
  • Partner with the CEO, CFO and executive peers to drive financial sustainability and operational efficiency
  • Champion a values‑led culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement
About you

You’re a people‑first operational leader with a passion for early learning and a track record of building strong teams and thriving centre outcomes.

You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience leading multi‑site operations at a senior or executive level
  • Strategic and commercial capability, with the ability to translate vision into measurable outcomes
  • Deep understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks within early learning
  • Exceptional leadership skills able to coach, motivate and align diverse teams across regions
  • Relevant qualifications in business, management or early childhood education
