ABB Switzerland Ltd., CMC Low Voltage Products, with around 270 employees, is a leading developer, manufacturer, and international supplier of low-voltage protection devices and the CMS current monitoring system. To strengthen our motivated team in Schaffhausen, we are looking for an engaged Service Technician to join us as soon as possible. Do you enjoy solving technical problems and helping to ensure smooth operations in a stable, growing, and modern manufacturing environment?

Your role and responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on highly automated production equipment (mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic)
• Perform preventive maintenance and servicing of production equipment
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams, Production Engineering, and external service providers to ensure smooth production operations
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment, including Lean Management activities

Qualifications for the role

• Completed vocational training as an Automation Technician, Mechatronics Technician, Mechanical Technician, Production Technician, Electrician, or in a comparable technical field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in industrial automation, ideally within a manufacturing environment
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex production and assembly systems (mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic)
• NIV13 or NIV15 electrical installation certification is an advantage, or willingness to obtain it with ABB support
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, combined with a proactive and independent working style
• Basic knowledge of MS Office and SAP, as well as excellent German language skills (written and spoken); English language skills are an advantage
• Willingness to work in a three-shift operation, including on-call duty after the onboarding period
