• Own product problems from discovery through production by understanding users and their needs
• Shape solutions with Product, UX, and Requirements Engineering
• Build, test, ship, and monitor solutions in production
• Contribute across the full stack using Python, Django, Django REST Framework, Django Ninja, FastAPI, React, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL
• Break down complex problems into independently releasable, vertically sliced increments
• Use trunk-based development, CI/CD, and feature toggles
• Apply Domain-Driven Design, Clean and Hexagonal Architecture, and modular monolith patterns where valuable
• Introduce microservices and event-driven approaches when justified by complexity
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools and agents to improve delivery, testing, and maintenance
• Take responsibility for production quality, security, and maintainability
• Improve quality through TDD, Clean Code, code reviews, observability, documentation, and technical debt reduction
• Make and document significant technical decisions
• Support other engineers through pairing and code reviews
• Collaborate with Product, UX/UI, Requirements Engineering, QA, Agile Coach, and Platform team in a value stream team

• Understanding of users and business context, with ability to suggest better solutions where appropriate
• Pragmatic decision-making about architecture, APIs, and testing
• Ability to design reliable RESTful APIs
• Use of automated tests to support safe, frequent delivery
• Thoughtful use of AI-assisted development tools and understanding of their strengths and limitations
