Eversports in Vienna seeks a Site Reliability Engineer to advance reliability for our B2C and B2B apps, building high-performance features to make booking and paying for sports easier.

This full-time (35h/week) hybrid role in Vienna involves owning production reliability across AWS, leading incident response, and driving observability, automation and IaC in collaboration with Platform Engineering. English fluency is required; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• 8+ years in SRE, DevOps or Platform Engineering on large production systems.
• Experience with AWS production environments and observability.
• Experience with incident management and on-call processes.
• Proficiency in at least 2 programming languages (TypeScript/Node.js, Bash, Python).
• CI/CD and deployment automation (GitHub Actions or similar).
• Relational databases reliability perspective (MySQL or Postgres).
• OpenTelemetry, Grafana/Prometheus or similar observability.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

• Own Production Reliability: monitor, alerting, and observability across AWS.
• Build a System-Wide View of production systems and their relationships.
• Lead Incident Response: root-cause analysis and long-term fixes; on-call practices.
• Enable Team Ownership: empower teams to own health metrics and runbooks.
• Tame Reactive Load: triage and plan infrastructure-related requests.
• Automate Away Toil: drive automation to improve resilience.
• Strengthen Recoverability & Compliance: backups, recovery, GDPR/NIS2 alignment.
• Partner with Platform Engineering on CI/CD and platform initiatives.
