Miba is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to own the operation and governance of its data and analytics platform, focusing on Databricks and Unity Catalog. You will ensure security, reliability, and scalability while defining governance standards and facilitating self-service analytics inside a governed framework.

Ideal candidates bring 4+ years of professional experience, deep Azure, SQL, Python, and PySpark skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with Databricks and Unity Catalog in an enterprise data platform.
• Strong skills in SQL, Python, and PySpark for data analytics and engineering.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure DevOps governance.

• Set up and configure Databricks workspaces and Unity Catalog governance.
• Manage data assets such as catalogs, schemas, and tables.
• Ensure platform security, reliability, scalability, and availability.
• Define and maintain platform standards, governance, and best practices.

• Enable self-service data usage within a governed framework.
• Organize onboarding, training, and user support.
• Monitor platform usage, performance, and availability.
• Improve platform efficiency, usability, and automation.
• Maintain clear technical documentation.
• Participate in Agile meetings and sprint planning.
• Collaborate with IT teams, architects, security specialists, and external partners.

• Set up and configure Databricks workspaces

• K nowledge of Agile methods and experience in cross-functional teams
• Structured, solution-oriented approach with excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
• Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly to different audiences
• Fluent in German and English

For this position we offer a minimum payment of 62,000 € /year, plus social benefits and possible bonuses.Especially qualified and experienced candidates will be offered overpay.
