Zusammenfassung

Novartis in Schaftenau, Austria, is seeking a Senior Expert Engineering to lead device development within the Global Device and Packaging Development (GDPD) team. You will drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver robust autoinjector and combination product components, from concept through lifecycle management.

We seek a PhD/masters in engineering, 5+ years in medical device development, and strong design and modelling skills, with fluent English and a proactive, independent work style.

If yes, then this is the opportunity for you! The Device Technology Solution Center is seeking a Senior Expert Engineering within the Global Device and Packaging Development (GDPD) department in Schaftenau, Austria.

About The Role
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver technical development and life-cycle management in cross-functional teams for easy-to-use, safe and robust products.
  • Responsible for device constituent parts of an autoinjector, the system integration of prefilled syringes together with the autoinjector into a combination product and timely delivery of technical aspects of one or more projects as well as LCM of commercial products.
  • Support device design development following the design control process and applicable regulatory framework.
  • Ensure components are delivered and controlled to the required quality for clinical trials and commercial production.
  • Support internal & external audits on medical devices related matters and provide input to health authority questions.
Essential Requirements
  • Bachelor, Master or PhD degree in engineering or equivalent.
  • Preferably 5+ years of experience working in development of medical device and/or combination products; preferred in pharmaceutical area or similar.
  • Experience in developing plastic and metal components; tolerance analysis, modelling and testing.
  • Excellent skills in English, verbal and written. German language skills are of advantage.
  • Autonomous and independent working style with interest to work in medical device development and life cycle management projects.
  • Ability to interact with cross functional team in matrix organization.

Expected Annual Base Salary Range For Role
  • Austria: EUR 66.918,00 - 117.800,00 EUR Annual

The salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for a performance-based bonus depending on certain performance parameters. Further details will be provided during the application process.
