Zusammenfassung

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to act as the primary technical contact for demanding customers in high‑tech industries. You will guide design through to production readiness and develop manufacturing strategies that balance technical and economic considerations.

You will coordinate across Sales, Production, Purchasing, Quality and R&D, taking final technical responsibility for complex products and assemblies. Fluent German and English are required.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in mechanical engineering (HTL/FH/TU)
• Several years in design engineering, product development or special-purpose machinery/plant engineering
• Experience in design, manufacturing or joining technologies with tolerances and feasibility
• Experience in project management or leading interdisciplinary teams
• Excellent CAD skills and experience with PDM/PLM/ERP systems
• Structured, analytical and solution-oriented working style
• High responsibility, hands-on mentality, technical interface experience
• Fluent German and English in business contexts

• Technical support from the design and concept phase through to series production readiness.
• Development of technically and economically optimal manufacturing strategies, including make‑or‑buy decisions.
• Managing technical coordination between Sales, Production, Purchasing, Quality, Research and Development (R&D).
• Assuming final technical responsibility for complex products and assemblies.
• Coordination of internal and external technical interfaces to ensure well‑founded decisions.

Requirements

• Completed education in mechanical engineering (e.g., HTL, University of Applied Sciences / FH or Technical University / TU).
• Several years of professional experience in design engineering, product development or in special‑purpose machine or plant engineering.
• Practical experience in design, manufacturing or joining technologies with a solid understanding of tolerances and technical feasibility.
• Experience in project management or in the technical leadership of interdisciplinary teams.
• Very good CAD skills and experience with PDM, PLM or ERP systems.
• Structured, analytical and solution‑oriented working style with strong logical reasoning.
• High level of personal responsibility, hands‑on mentality and confident presence as a technical interface.
• Fluent German and English at a business/negotiation level.
