Jobgether is seeking a Senior Accountant - Technical Accounting to join a partner company in Switzerland. You will own technical accounting research, prepare memos, and support month-end close, consolidation, and audits across a multinational setup.

The role emphasizes IFRS expertise, policy development, and cross-functional collaboration with Finance, Legal, Tax, FP&A, and business teams to ensure accurate and well-supported accounting outcomes.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and ability to research, interpret, and apply standards.
• Experience assessing contracts for revenue recognition and lease accounting.
• Strong technical writing skills for memos and position papers.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, trial balance reviews, and consolidation entries.
• Attention to detail and sound professional judgment for complex accounting issues.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
• Clear communication skills and collaboration across Finance and non-Finance teams.
• Experience with external auditors is valuable; public accounting or audit background preferred but not required.
• Professional qualification (CPA/ACCA or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory.

Aufgaben

• Review contracts to determine accounting implications under IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
• Research IFRS guidance and prepare technical memos and position papers.
• Support month-end close through balance sheet reviews and account analysis.
• Prepare and review consolidation entries, including intercompany eliminations.
• Coordinate with external auditors during year-end and statutory audits.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies in line with evolving standards.
• Create training materials to explain accounting requirements to finance and non-finance teams.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Tax, FP&A and business teams to understand complex transactions.
• Support broader finance projects and improvements in reporting.
• Contribute to consistent, well-documented accounting practices across the organization.
