Zusammenfassung

Magna is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage the full accounting agenda and report to the Senior Manager, Accounting. You will join a multi-member team and contribute to the global SOX/compliance framework.

Responsibilities include monthly, quarterly, and annual US GAAP financial statements, audits, and process improvements with SAP/OneStream. A strong accounting background and English fluency are required; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Senior Accountant or equivalent.
• Commercial training and formal accounting qualifications.
• Experience with US GAAP is preferred.

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under US GAAP.
• Coordinate and process accounting activities including accruals.
• Support annual audits and liaise with auditors.
• Ensure compliance with deadlines and internal guidelines (SOX, Compliance).
• Contribute to local/global process improvements and SAP interface efforts.

Job Responsibilities:

As an experienced accountant (m/f/x), you will be responsible for the management of the entire accounting agenda in this varied position. You will be part of the multi-member accounting team and report directly to the Senior Manager, Accounting.

_ Main Responsibilities _

• Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements based on US GAAP
• Ongoing coordination and processing of accounting agendas (e.g. accruals)
• Handling of the annual audits according to local law with the auditors
• Control of compliance with deadlines and internal guidelines (SOX, Compliance, Legal)
• Collaboration and support in the development and implementation of local and global process improvements (SAP, SOX, etc.) and interface improvements

_ Knowledge and training _

• Commercial training (HAK/HAS or similar)
• At least 5 years of professional experience as a Senior Accountant (m/f/x)
• Accountant examination or equivalent training

_ Knowledge and skills _

• SAP R/3 or S/4 Hana Cloud is an advantage
• Good Excel, OneStream and Group Accounting skills
• US GAAP knowledge is an advantage
• Very good knowledge of written and spoken English, additional German is an advantage
