SAP Integration Specialist (m/f/d)

In this hands‑on role within our Business Applications team, you will build, operate, and improve integrations across SAP and non‑SAP systems. Using SAP BTP Integration Suite/CPI, SAP S/4HANA integration technologies, APIs, events, and standard protocols, you will develop reliable iFlows, troubleshoot interface issues, and help keep business‑critical processes stable, secure, and scalable. You will also support practical AI‑enabled opportunities in the SAP environment, especially where they improve automation, monitoring, troubleshooting, or process efficiency.

Your Tasks

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and operate SAP BTP Integration Suite/CPI iFlows for SAP and non‑SAP scenarios
• Implement API‑, event‑, file‑, and message‑based integrations using OData, SOAP, REST, IDoc, SFTP, HTTPS, and related standards
• Maintain mappings, routing, exception handling, logging, retry concepts, adapters, certificates, credentials, and security settings
• Monitor interfaces, analyze payloads and logs, troubleshoot failures, and coordinate fixes across connected systems
• Support interface lifecycle management, including versioning, transports, regression testing, documentation, and production handover
• Contribute to integration improvements, automation, standardization, and migration from legacy interfaces where applicable
• Explore AI‑assisted automation and monitoring opportunities within SAP and integration operations

Your Profile

• At least five years’ hands‑on experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite/CPI in productive enterprise landscapes
• Strong practical knowledge of iFlow development, mappings, routing, exception handling, monitoring, and message reprocessing
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA integration and protocols such as OData, SOAP, REST, IDoc, RFC, SFTP, HTTPS, XML, JSON, and authentication methods
• Ability to analyze payloads, logs, interface errors, certificates, connectivity issues, and authorization problems
• Experience with interface specifications, API contracts, test cases, transports, documentation, and operational handover
• Interest in SAP Business AI or practical AI use cases for integration, automation, and process improvement
• Nice to have: SAP certification, API Management, Event Mesh, CAP, UI5/Fiori, CI/CD, scripting, SAP Sales Cloud V2, CRM, or middleware experience
• Excellent command of English, with strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

We provide an attractive and performance‑based salary, which is based on your qualifications and professional experience. This position is subject to the Collective Agreement for Employees in the Metal Trade ("Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte Metallgewerbe") and we offer a minimum salary of € 57,000 gross per year. Actual compensation can be well above this standard.
