Within a flat line management structure you will need to demonstrate high levels of judgement and initiative as well as the capacity to operate autonomously. You will be responsible for representing the MikePressWines brand to all our distributors and major trade partners, as well as growing our presence and success with our Wine Club membership.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Develop and implement marketing plans for strengthening and growing sales through wholesale, retail and on-line channels
- In consultation with company representatives, set and monitor budgets and sales targets
- Establish and maintain key relationships with major event venue operators
- Expand the existing Wine Club offerings and membership, targeting key demographics and a focus on brand loyalty.
- Maintain strong and positive relationships with all MikePressWines distributors and trade partners Australia wide
- Expand and enhance marketing assets and collateral
- Initiate and coordinate marketing events in key markets as appropriate to the variety of sales channels
- Build upon the company’s on-line presence through website and social media updates and initiatives.
- Oversee new product development and existing product upgrades including working with external designers and brand consultants
- Ensure close and effective liaison with other members of the MikePressWines team including the winemaker, vineyard managers, storage and distribution managers and our accountants
About You
- Bachelor degree in business and/or marketing, or demonstrated equivalent relevant qualifications or industry experience.
- At least 5 years wine industry and/or sales experience
- Demonstrated understanding and comprehensive knowledge of the Australian wine industry
- Capacity to converse with a wide range of consumers and effectively lead wine tasting and knowledge events in a variety of settings
- Experience in functioning autonomously at a high level while keeping key stakeholders fully informed
- Demonstrated high level communication and engagement skills, both virtually and face to face
- Capacity to utilise a suite of various software and generate reports for Directors
- Demonstrated superior customer service skills and approach
- Proven excellent time management, organisational skills and attention to detail
