Hawthorn Vinnies Store is seeking a passionate and skilled Retail Shop Manager who thrives in a purpose‑driven retail environment. You’ll lead a dedicated team of volunteers and staff, driving growth and delivering an inspiring in‑store experience for customers and the community.
In this role, you will oversee all aspects of shop operations, including team leadership, inventory management, visual merchandising, financial performance, and compliance with organisational policies. Your leadership will directly contribute to funding the Society’s vital programs supporting those experiencing disadvantage.
You are a hands‑on leader with a passion for retail and people. While previous retail management experience is highly regarded, your ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a team both paid staff and volunteers is essential. You bring energy, integrity, and a commitment to extraordinary customer service.
The St Vincent de Paul Society is a major international charitable organisation, operating in South Australia since 1884. Our mission is to alleviate disadvantage and support people experiencing poverty through direct assistance and advocacy. In South Australia, we have over 2,500 members and volunteers, 140 employees, 35 retail shops, 10 Fred’s Van locations, a Refugee and Asylum Seeker Service, and crisis centres for men and women. Our retail network is vital in funding programs such as emergency relief, accommodation assistance, and food support.
