Mercor is seeking a French-speaking Audio Engineer (Speech / TTS) for remote contract work to edit and process French voice recordings used in AI systems, ensuring high-quality audio for machine learning pipelines.

You will perform audio cleanup and quality assurance, collaborating with teams on French speech datasets and talent recordings. Proficiency with iZotope RX and Pro Tools is preferred, with focus on pronunciation, naturalness, and consistency.

Qualifikationen

• Native or near-native French speaker with strong listening intuition.
• Experience editing speech or voice recordings.
• Familiarity with audio QA standards and training data requirements.

Aufgaben

• Edit and process French voice recordings for TTS and speech AI systems.
• Perform audio cleanup including silence trimming, breath reduction/removal, de-clicking, de-essing, and noise reduction.
• Conduct quality assurance checks for clipping, distortion, background noise, and loudness.
• Ensure audio meets strict technical specifications for ML training pipelines.
• Evaluate recordings for pronunciation accuracy, naturalness, and fluency.
• Collaborate with teams on French speech datasets, voice talent recordings, and model training workflows.
