Program Manager - Maritime
The Program Manager – Maritime is responsible for the planning, execution and oversight of the program ensuring alignment with the R&S goals and strategies. This includes the management of resources, budgets and schedule.
Core responsibilities
- Ensure the program is aligned with the overall R&S strategy and objectives.
- Ensure plans are in place and executed to meet core objectives.
- Manage program risks and opportunities effectively.
- Ensure all resources are in place to deliver on program commitments.
- Keep key stakeholders informed of program performance, status, and issues.
- Lead and mentor program team members to align with objectives.
- Align program metrics with reporting requirements and enable effective review.
- Ensure deliverables meet desired quality standards.
- Deliver program scope and schedule.
In this role
- Lead all project activities and risk to ensure achievement of all project objectives and milestones.
- Lead the project team including engineers, support staff, and project managers to enable program objectives.
- Conduct regular project performance reviews to keep project on track.
- Integrate Contract Change Proposals into the main program of work.
- Develop and continually improve stakeholder relationships including internal and external customers and suppliers.
- Lead customer relations related to program activities.
- Demonstrate adaptability by showing initiative and achieving results reliably, with broad perspective, pragmatism and persistence.
What you will bring
- Bachelor of Engineering or similar qualification.
- Recognition as a Project Management Practitioner.
- Previously delivered projects with value greater than $10 M.
- Significant exposure to Earned Value Management methods.
- Experience leading project teams comprising 15 or more staff.
