The role
As a Kitchen Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing the end-to-end operations of our kitchen facilities. You will be based in our Central Kitchen in Newstead, where you’ll lead our kitchen team in QLD to produce a range of menu items with maximum quality and shelf life, and minimal cost and waste.
Skills and experience
You’ll have:
Experience working in industrial and/or restaurant kitchens
A passion for food and kitchen operations
Ability to lead, motivate, and build an efficient team in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership ability, approachability, and a reputation as a role model
Characteristics reflective of FISHBOWL’s ethos: self-motivated, positivity, service-oriented, flexible, and ethical with a high degree of integrity.
You will:
Oversee ingredient preparation in the kitchen
Use our state-of-the-art processing machines
Maintain adequate inventory levels and conduct regular inventory counts
Ensure critical standards of product quality, daily food safety and sanitation checks
Oversee the training of employees to ensure the highest quality standards, safe operation of kitchen equipment and the proper handling of heavy items and hazardous materials
