Four Forest, part of Cognita, is seeking an experienced Early Years/Preschool Teacher for a full-time maternity cover from January 2027 to July 2027. Working alongside a German-speaking colleague, you will support a bilingual programme and English as an additional language, nurturing curious minds and strong family partnerships.

You will contribute to a caring school community, monitor progress, and tailor activities to each child’s needs, helping them flourish in their learning journey.

Qualifikationen

• Qualified in Early Education or a related field with a recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience in Early Years or Preschool, with understanding of child development and play-based learning.
• Native English speaker to support English as an additional language.
• Excellent communicator with families, children, and colleagues.
• Warm, patient, and caring with a commitment to helping every child flourish.
• Collaborative team player in a bilingual school community.
• Knowledge of German, bilingual setting, or familiarity with Lehrplan 21 is an advantage.

About the Role:

As an Early Years / Preschool Teacher, you will help create a welcoming and inspiring environment where young children can learn, explore, and grow with confidence. Through engaging, play-based experiences, you will nurture children's curiosity, creativity, language development, and social skills during these important early years. Working alongside a German-speaking colleague, you will contribute to a rich bilingual programme that encourages learning through meaningful interactions and discovery. You will monitor each child's progress, adapt learning to meet individual needs, and build strong partnerships with families to support their development and wellbeing. As a valued member of the school community, you will also contribute to events, initiatives, and activities that enrich school life.

This is a full-time, fixed-term Maternity Cover position needed from January 2027 until July 2027.

Who We Are Looking For:

• Qualified in Early Education, or a related field, with a recognised teaching qualification.
• Experienced in an Early Years or Preschool setting, with a solid understanding of child development and play-based learning.
• A native English speaker who can effectively support children learning English as an additional language.
• An excellent communicator who builds positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Warm, patient, and caring, with a genuine commitment to helping every child flourish.
• A collaborative team player who enjoys contributing to a vibrant bilingual school community.
• Knowledge of German, experience in a bilingual setting, or familiarity with Lehrplan 21 would be an advantage.
